The idea of Sanitoyz first came to my mind over twelve years ago, when all the children of my family’s friends were always sick and the parents kept complaining about how they go through weeks or even a month of flu rotations amongst them. Fast forward, my sister had a few kids of her own and it seemed impossible to plan family dinners without someone being under the weather.

But that was just the beginning. Sanitoyz, like a newborn baby, had to grow and learn to stand.

The project was years of late nights in my parents’ garage trying different application processes, experimenting with which solutions to use, welding pieces, exploring electrical components, and the list goes on. With my main source of income being a real estate broker, it wasn’t easy and juggling both became very time consuming but my passion for this weighed more than my need to rest.

After several homemade prototypes, a few electrical shocks, and numerous power outages, I finally found the method and solution that excited me. When the pandemic hit, I knew a product like this was more crucial than ever. I had to perfect the details to help parents keep their children safe and enjoy parenthood. I was able to make this idea into a reality, and here we are.

We, at Sanitoyz, have created the first-of-its-kind solution to many problems parents and education centers face every day. We strive to create a sanitary play space for children, while giving teachers and parents some peace of mind. Disinfecting toys and keeping clutter out of sight all in one.

I kept asking them– don’t schools clean the toys that children play with? Don’t you guys? The answer was always the same. They didn’t have the time. And schools clean the toys with bleach and water, which was a method they didn’t support.
